Mayor Bing Delivers City of Detroit Financial Update

DETROIT — Mayor Dave Bing takes Detroit’s $150 million deficit to the press, asking city unions to accept wage cuts, and Gov. Snyder and legislature to stop reneging on the millions owed Detroit in a decade-old tax deal. Bing is trying to turn the deficit around and avoid an emergency financial takeover of Detroit by the state. Future Media Corporation was hired to teleprompt the mayor’s crucial 11.16.11 message by Steve Serkaian, Bing’s new Dir. of Communications.
