Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero’s 9th State of the City Speech, 1.30.14 – The mayor and staff asked Future Media Corporation to produce SOC ’14, hosted by GM’s LGR (Lansing Grand River) plant, in the second-story Oldsmobile Conference Room of the administration bldg (formerly Plant 66, Oldsmobile/BOC/LAD Engineering). Approx 250 community leaders, Lansing City Council members, UAW and LGR employees, and invited guests joined the mayor for his enthusiastic “Growing Lansing Together” speech. We framed the stage with a `14 Cadillac ATS and the CTS (left), recipient of the 2014 Motor Trend Car of the Year Award. Future Media also provided the public address system and press feeds, teleprompter services for the mayor, prepared the venue for WILX-TV’s live broadcast, and we brought in Art Craft Displays to supply the staging & ramps, and Lowing Lighting to illuminate the venue. LGR and UAW event committee members were very detail-orientated, accommodating to our needs and a great pleasure to work with.
