Lansing Brd. of Water & Light’s “Going Commercial” Events

Lansing MI – To demonstrate the $2.8 million Lansing “REO Town” renovation of a 110-year-old train depot, and their new $182 million cogeneration power plant and headquarters building, executives of the Lansing Board of Water and Light (BWL), asked Future Media Corporation to plan/produce the day-long series of open house events highlighting their “Going Commercial” announcement. Events included a packed and overflow-crowd press event in the depot that attracted over 400 people, a “push the start button” photo ops in the plant, a Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce Economic Club noon tent luncheon and tour for 250 members, and day-long public tours of the facilities that attracted several thousand visitors. Our work included 3-month advanced planning, client representation and vendor management, sound reinforcement & PA systems, HD video event coverage and live video feeds to a 14-foot large screen and large flat-panel video monitors.
